Duality Forge is a free, fan-made web toolkit for games using the Daggerheart system. It is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Critical Role, LLC or Darrington Press, LLC. It is not an official Daggerheart product.
You may use Duality Forge for personal, non-commercial tabletop gaming purposes. You agree not to:
You may optionally create an account using Google sign-in or email/password to enable cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
Any data you enter (character sheets, campaign notes, etc.) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your content. However, we are not responsible for data loss — please use the export feature to keep local backups.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Duality Forge. By using features that store or synchronize your content, you grant Duality Forge a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, synchronize, and display that content solely as necessary to provide and operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You are responsible for the content you enter or upload to Duality Forge and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use that content.
Duality Forge allows you to share content (such as chronicle chapters, homebrew cards, and custom adversaries) with the community. Shared content may be visible to other Duality Forge users and may be imported into their accounts. By sharing content, you:
If you delete your account, your shared content will remain in the community library with the author displayed as "Unknown". Content already imported by other users will not be affected.
Duality Forge may remove, disable, or restrict access to community content that we believe violates these Terms, infringes third-party rights, is abusive, or is otherwise inappropriate for the service.
You may create and share homebrew based on Daggerheart. You are responsible for making sure your submissions respect the Darrington Press Community Gaming License and any other third-party rights. Duality Forge does not grant you any rights to Daggerheart content; those rights remain with their owners.
Reporting content: if you believe content on Duality Forge infringes your rights, email segatto.builder@gmail.com with a link or description of the content and your contact details. We will review reports and remove material where appropriate.
Some material shown in Duality Forge — compendium entries, cards, classes, equipment, adversaries and rules — is Public Game Content from the Daggerheart System Reference Document (SRD), used under the Darrington Press Community Gaming License (DPCGL). This material is not owned by Duality Forge. The Daggerheart name and trademarks belong to their owners.
What the labels mean: entries without a label are derived from the Daggerheart SRD 1.0. Entries marked v2 are derived from the Daggerheart SRD 2.0 (official SRD: daggerheart.com/srd). "v1" and "v2" refer to these SRD editions, not to versions of Duality Forge.
How it is prepared: the SRD material was converted into data files by community projects (daggersearch/daggerheart-data, seansbox/daggerheart-srd, JHerrin00/daggerheart-srd-2.0). Your browser loads this material directly from those projects' GitHub repositories (at fixed versions) and Duality Forge restructures it on your device for use in the app (field formats, links between entries, text formatting) without intentionally changing the rules text. Duality Forge does not host SRD files; your browser keeps a local copy so it does not need to download them again.
What belongs to Duality Forge: the application's software, design, data format, import tools and our own original text and graphics. Content created by users belongs to those users (see §4–5).
This product includes materials from the Daggerheart System Reference Document 1.0 and the Daggerheart System Reference Document 2.0, © Critical Role, LLC. under the terms of the Darrington Press Community Gaming (DPCGL) License. More information can be found at www.daggerheart.com. The material was converted to data files by the community projects named above and reformatted by Duality Forge.
Duality Forge uses these open-source components under their own licenses:
Duality Forge is provided "as is" with no guarantees of uptime or availability. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
Duality Forge is a free hobby project. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Duality Forge after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
