Terms of Use

1. What This Is

Duality Forge is a free, fan-made web toolkit for tabletop RPGs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Darrington Press, Critical Role, or any game publisher.

2. Use of the Service

You may use Duality Forge for personal, non-commercial tabletop gaming purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Circumvent security or authentication measures
• Upload malicious code
• Impersonate another person
• Abuse automated systems
• Use the service to attack another service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use automated means to access or collect data from the service in a manner that places an unreasonable burden on the service, bypasses access controls, or violates these Terms

3. Accounts

You may optionally create an account using Google sign-in or email/password to enable cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

Any data you enter (character sheets, campaign notes, etc.) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of your content. However, we are not responsible for data loss — please use the export feature to keep local backups.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Duality Forge. By using features that store or synchronize your content, you grant Duality Forge a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, synchronize, and display that content solely as necessary to provide and operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are responsible for the content you enter or upload to Duality Forge and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use that content.

5. SRD Content

Game data provided through the compendium and card library is sourced from publicly available System Reference Document (SRD) material. All game content belongs to its respective rights holders.

6. Availability

Duality Forge is provided "as is" with no guarantees of uptime or availability. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

Duality Forge is a free hobby project. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Duality Forge after the updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
